According to the USPS regulations, the CMRA is responsible for forwarding their customers’ mail for at least 6 months following PMB termination.


SphereMail marks terminated customer accounts that are still within the 6-month post-termination period to facilitate your mail operations; so when you go to log a new mail item for an already terminated customer, you'll see a colored label for whether they're active, inactive but still within the 6-month period, or fully inactive now:


But if you've established an agreement with your customers where you'll be forwarding mail for a different period of months, you can adjust that on SphereMail:

  • Go to Business Settings
  • Click on the tab titled "General"
  • Scroll down to the ColorPhase option and type in the number of months
  • Click the "Save changes" button to confirm
