Your contract may include a minimum monthly commitment for user license fees; this means that your total user license fees for each month must meet the minimum amount specified in your contract.
UPDATE: Previously, any remaining balance needed to meet this commitment was reviewed and charged separately through our payment processor, but as of October 30th, 2026, your minimum commitment is calculated automatically and displayed in your monthly billing reports within the app, giving you better visibility into your expected charges and helping you plan your budget.
How It Is Calculated:
Your user license fees depend on the number of active customers and your contracted license fee per customer. For example, if your license fee is $6 per customer per month:
- Monthly subscriptions: $6 per customer for each month the subscription is purchased or renewed.
- Semi-annual subscriptions: $36 per customer for each six-month subscription period.
- Annual subscriptions: $72 per customer for each annual subscription period.
Regardless of the subscription billing cycle, the minimum commitment calculation considers your total eligible user license fees for the month. For example, if your contract specifies a minimum monthly commitment of $150, and your user license fee is $6 per customer per month:
- Minimum monthly commitment: $150
- Total active customers: 15
- Total user license fees: 15 × $6 = $90
- Additional minimum commitment charge: $150 − $90 = $60
In this example, an additional $60 will be charged to bring your total user license fees up to the $150 minimum.
At a rate of $6 per customer per month, you need at least 25 active customers to meet or exceed this minimum commitment. And if your total user license fees meet or exceed your minimum commitment, no additional minimum commitment charge applies.
Automatic Calculation and Billing:
As of October 30th, 2026, the minimum commitment amount is automatically calculated and displayed in your monthly billing reports:
Please note that the displayed amounts update throughout the month as your billing activity changes, then at the end of the month, the calculation is finalized and the amount due is locked in. By then, if your total eligible user license fees are below your contracted minimum, the remaining difference is added to your other applicable charges, and will be charged on the 1st of the following month, along with your other applicable charges, as per the standard billing cycle.
